Thoughts on Current Events

You’d never know it by virtue of the legacy media reporting but this past week was monumental in terms of the significance of current events on a broad scale.

THE BAD: Everyone I know that saw George Floyd suffering, and later dying, with a Law Enforcement Officers knee on his neck was livid over what they witnessed. It was a very troubling video and justice needs to be served. It is right to question ourselves and say “What can we do to make sure these things do not happen again?” Let me be very direct: any so-called solution that does not begin, be implemented under and end by way of a personal encounter with Jesus Christ will eventually end in abject failure. We’ve seen this movie play over and over again. It’s time for real change.

There are questions that need to be answered about this case. The surface reporting is not cutting through the fog. More than one source has indicated that the two men knew each other. Since each of the four officers were of different races it seems too simplistic to call it racism, but there was a motive and that needs to be uncovered. We should all pray that the facts behind the actions are brought out into the full light of day.

We have very clear directives in Scripture how we are to live with all mankind.

“But he’s already made it plain how to live, what to do, what God is looking for in men and women. It’s quite simple: do what is fair and just to your neighbor, be compassionate and loyal in your love, and don’t take yourself too seriously – take God seriously” Micah 6:8

“For through the grace given to me I say to everyone among you not to think more highly of himself than he ought to think; but to think so as to have sound judgment, as God has allotted to each a measure of faith.” Romans 12:3

It’s time for the Church and individual believers to take the lead in race relations by living the Word of God in every way. Racism is a spiritual force and it will take a praying and acting Church in America to bring it down. Have you considered that perhaps the pause in institutional church life may have been a sign that God is not interested in church as usual?

THE GOOD: Much progress has been made in the past fifty years in race relations but much needs to yet be accomplished. President Trump, in spite of constant criticism from the media, has done more for black Americans than any other President in my lifetime. Before CV-19 hit black unemployment was at an all time low, he championed the first step act, passed Opportunity Zones, guaranteed funding for Historic Black Colleges and Universities and has made strides toward the elimination of black genocide via abortion. So why is he constantly under attack? It’s quite simple: Democrats cannot win without the black vote and they cannot acknowledge the good Mr. Trump has done for black Americans without sabotaging themselves and exposing themselves for what they are; the new plantation owners.

When you see a people group that has suffered historically, as the black community in America has, you must also know that God has a redemptive plan for those people. You are just beginning to see black men and women leading the charge for real, meaningful freedom for black Americans. Angela Stanton King was pardoned by way of the First Step Act and is now running for Congress. David Harris Jr. has been a powerful voice for righteousness and truth. Candace Owens is a rising star in the conservative black community who has an anointing from the Father to break her people free from decades of bondage. There are too many others to mention. This is an election year. Everything you have seen over the past three and a half years is about influencing the results of the election. Donald John Trump was never supposed to win! Spying on the Trump Campaign, the Russian Collusion hoax, the Impeachment proceedings, the Coronavirus, the crashing of the economy and the using of George Floyd’s death to stir up violence, anarchy and further damage peoples livelihoods are a direct attack to destabilize America. We know the DNC is owned by George Soros. We know he funds Antifa and that the rioting was being planned and executed to foment division. Don’t be surprised to see that the Chinese Communist Party is also in the background, just as they intentionally released CV19 throughout the world to destabilize economies. Add to that Iranian and radical Islamic involvement and perhaps some Uniparty Republicans. When all is revealed Americans will be shocked to know we have enemies, both foreign and domestic, that are up to their necks in harming America. Regarding China, President Trump is the first POTUS to get tough on them taking advantage of and robbing America of her wealth and technology. They will do anything to see him out of office. It should also be obvious to anyone with minimal discernment that the DNC cares nothing for the well being of Americans as long as they regain power. It’s time to WAKE UP!

We would be negligent if we did not point out the media role in all of this. They have hyped every story to cause the most fear and propped up every false narrative to subvert the cause of truth. They ARE the false prophets in America.

Consider the following that all took place on January 15, 2020: the first case of CV-19 arrives in the US from China, the US and China sign the first part of the new trade agreement and the Democratic House drops a boatload of Impeachment documents. Did these all happen by chance? And why did Nancy Pelosi adjourn the House during the CV pandemic and promote remote voting when States are opening up and the virus appears to be fading? Could it be that she knew that plans were already in place for civil unrest? Of course, no one knew that George Floyd would be murdered but any sentient person would know that the DNC was looking for another opportunity to sabotage the economy in hopes of beating Mr. Trump in November. They are that desperate; not only to regain power but to avoid the jail terms that are surely to come for many.

Finally, what do Tamir Rice, Sandra Bland, Kalief Browder, Michael Brown, Treyvon Martin, Philando Castille and Freddie Gray have in common? They were black Americans who were killed or abused under our police and legal system under the Obama Administration. Did anyone blame President Obama? Were there violent protests and looting all across America? He did virtually nothing for Black America during his eight years in office but now we have a man who has actually produced for the Black community and suddenly it’s all his fault? Please don’t be naive. This is all about people in the background pulling the strings of the all too willing for the purpose of manipulating them to vote for their party. PERIOD!

HONG KONG: Last week the Chinese totalitarian government began to put the squeeze on Hong Kong, severely limiting their freedoms. Prior to the release of the virus, protests in Hong Kong against the strong arm ChiCom leadership was reaching a crescendo. The subsequent shut down allowed the government to regain the upper hand and now are oppressing the people. Pray with us for a free Hong Kong, a free Taiwan and a free China. The Chinese have much to offer the world but it will never be accomplished under the current regime. Whether you know it or not we are in a non military war with China. The Chinese Communist Party has been planning for years to supplant the US as the global economic leader. It began with the One Belt/One Road initiative, then trade pressures being placed on China which has hurt their economy and recently the release of the virus and subsequent shutdowns that torpedoed the US economy. We must pray that China’s role in releasing the virus worldwide is exposed and that there is no military conflict. The Chinese people are not the enemy. The CCP IS the enemy.

GENERAL FLYNN: The past two weeks have revealed the corruption in the DC courts as Judge Emmet Sullivan has demonstrated himself to be anything but impartial. He refused to execute a directive from the Justice Department to dismiss the case against General Flynn and then hired an attorney to defend himself for his actions.

Meanwhile, transcripts of telephone conversations between Gen. Flynn and Russia’s Ambassador Kislyak were released. They present undeniable proof that the communications were absolutely legitimate and appropriate and gave no cause for the FBI to interview him. Liberal Constitutional Scholar Jonathan Turley has been quite outspoken on the subject and has made it very clear that there is trouble brewing for those who initiated action against Flynn. Justice is coming to America and God is about to move in our nation as never before in our lifetimes!

THE SUPREME COURT vs THE SUPREME BEING: It is unwise to take up a fight that you cannot win but our Supreme Court did so this past week. The first Amendment to the Constitution of the United States clearly says “Congress shall make no law respecting the establishment of a religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof…” The Supreme Court ruled against a church in Chula Vista, CA which was protesting the order of Governor Newsome who ordered churches closed in March and has not yet agreed to fully open them. Once again, Chief Justice John Roberts voted with the liberal side of the court as he did on Obamacare. Not even a pandemic voids the Constitution! One would ask after reading his opinion if Justice Roberts has ever even read the First Amendment. You can argue that this was not a law made by Congress but it would seem obvious if the supreme law of the land is the Constitution that those who govern should defer to it, should they not?

Before the election of 2016 Mark Taylor prophesied that there would be a scandal in the Supreme Court and I believe he said two justices would step down. I would not be surprised to see Justice Roberts among them. It appears that his strings are being pulled by persons unseen. We should pray for all of our Justices that they would rule righteously and impartially and that God would provide our nation with nine such Supreme Court Justices. I can’t tell you why but I have felt that Justice Sotomayor has a soft place in her heart for the things of God and when I pray for the court I pray for her soul; for a change that will transform her.

CONSTITUTION AND THE SPIRIT OF ANTICHRIST: The Constitution of the United States is a genius document that was based of eternal truth and written primarily through the hands of godly men. It is a firewall between the people of the United States and their freedoms against the spirit of antichrist. The antichrist spirit is a spirit of lawlessness. We saw for eight years, under the Obama administration, how the Constitution was continually circumvented and we are now engaged in a war to restore those truths. It should be of no surprise to see lawlessness running rampant on our streets this past few days.

The Deep State has no regard for the law and will undermine it at every opportunity. This should be obvious to even the most casual observer who is watching events unfold before their eyes. It is imperative that all Christians put feet to their prayers and show up at the ballot box in November. Do your homework and vote for men and women who will honor their oath to defend the Constitution from enemies both foreign and domestic.

SPACE X: In an extraordinary move NASA teamed up with private enterprise by way of Elon Musk and successfully sent two of our astronauts to the International Space Station. This was the first US incursion into space since 2011 and marks a new era of exploration.

A TIMELY WARNING

The following is a prophetic dream published by Jeremiah Johnson. It is a serious call to prayer for our President.

Prophetic Dream Published on 1/18/19 “As a nightly dreamer since the days of my youth, I honestly cannot remember the last time I had a nightmare. That all changed last night as I woke up in my bed unable to breath, my heart racing out of control, and my entire body numb and shaking. It was a terrifying experience to say the least. In the dream, I was on a ship with Donald Trump in a swamp that was totally infested with alligators. Many of them were larger than life. However, these were not merely just alligators, they revealed themselves to me as “mercenary alligators.” In other words, they were trained to sink our ship and had no other agenda but doing so. Risking their life was not a problem for them. They had been commissioned to sink the ship and kill us. As our ship sailed deeper into the swamp, Donald Trump was laughing with his “Make America Great Again” hat on as he steered. He continued to laugh as he would purposely plow into as many alligators as he could. “I’m going to drain the swamp!” he would yell to me on the ship.Suddenly, I began to realize that the more Donald tried to drain the swamp, the more the swamp was going to drain him. Larger and larger alligators began to swim up and take large chunks out of our ship. We began to take on water and I knew then that our death was imminent. Donald seemed to be totally oblivious to the great danger we were in. I pleaded with him to stop intentionally and purposely drain the swamp but it was too late. We were swallowed up into this totally demonic mercenary alligator abyss. It was a gigantic black hole. I could literally hear hoards of demons laughing and cheering. What I felt and experienced as Donald and I died together is something I will never forget. I immediately woke up in my bed suffocating, numb, and my heart racing out of my chest. As I began to pray to get free, this is what the Lord spoke to me and said, “Jeremiah, My people do not recognize the demonic warfare from hell that is being unleashed upon the United States and Donald Trump. Even as a wall is being built, why are My people refusing to build a wall of intercession and prayer around their President and around their nation? Yes, the borders are unsecured but they are far more unsecured in the Spirit realm than you could ever imagine. How is it that a man would see the necessity of building a wall to protect a country but My people cannot even recognize their desperate need to build a wall of intercession and prayer around their own lives and churches? How the American Church continues to sleep and slumber in these days of history has come before My throne and it has greatly grieved My heart! I warn you Jeremiah, that as Donald tries to drain the Swamp, the Swamp is going to drain him. His heart will become hardened, his resolve will become dangerous, and the attack’s upon his life and presidency will only get bigger and bigger. This will be a result in large part due to a prayerless Church in America that has refused to pray for their President and that has ignored the demonic agendas in Washington. Taking a Step Back

Sometimes we need to step back and see the big picture to get a more distinct view of where we are in the present; to enable us to enjoy proper perspective. Over the past months I have had several discussions regarding why there are Christians who cannot see that God is right in the middle of the Trump Presidency. I hope to reply to that general question in a distinct and meaningful way in the paragraphs that follow.

When I began to put my thoughts together for this blog I wanted to be as gentle as possible but the more I thought of it I was reminded of something God spoke to me years ago regarding deception. There are times when we must go beyond bluntness to cut through the lies of the enemy, so if some of this seems to be very direct you must understand that it is precisely what the Spirit of God had in mind for His divine purpose; not yours or mine. I have a grave concern for my brothers and sisters who continue to criticize the President and even call for his removal from office. Fault finding is NOT a spiritual gift and yours and my opinions are irrelevant to God’s plan. When Abraham Lincoln was asked, during the Civil War, whether he believed that God was on our (the Union’s) side he replied “My concern is not whether God is on our side; my greatest concern is to be on God’s side.” That has been my primary focus since Mr. Trump ran for office; I want to be on His side and aligned with His purpose.

Let me take this a step further. All who have received Christ as Savior will stand before Him and give account for their earthly lives. That, in itself, is a sobering thought! Consider this; the man who was perhaps the closest to Him in His earthly sojourn and to whom Jesus left with the care of His mother fell at His feet as a dead man when He saw the Lord in His resurrected state. No one should take this lightly. We will all stand before His judgment seat. Jesus said these words to prepare us for that day, “For in the way you judge, you will be judged; and by your standard of measure, it will be measured unto you.” May His words be stamped on our hearts so that we will not give in to the temptation to be harsh and critical of others; President or not. I can’t speak for you but I want to sow all the mercy and grace I can in the lives of others and let that be the standard of measure that Jesus measures back to me in that day.

Many years ago I heard Walter Martin (Kingdom of the Cults) say, “Jesus was love incarnate but He offended people on a regular basis.” This is factually true if you read the gospels. Have you ever considered why He did that and why He still does? Kevin Prosch captured it succinctly in his song “Friend of God.” There is one phrase that sticks out that says this, “He offended my mind but He revealed my heart and He saw right through the religion.” When Jesus called Peter “Satan” I have no doubt it was a riveting moment that resulted in some very timely soul searching. This is His whole point; to pull back the veil on that which is not so easily seen. The dagger of His words sometimes cuts deep but is never without purpose nor in vain (Hebrews 4:12).

Recently I heard Lance Walnau referencing the lack of understanding among some believers regarding Mr. Trump. He said he could understand at the beginning that people may not have realized that God was working through Mr. Trump but he continued “if you are still ‘missing’ it now, there is a “mist” around your brain!!” I will say emphatically that you have entered into a place of willful deception. Willful because the signs are so obvious you can’t miss them unless you have chosen to do so. Solomon was the wisest human to ever walk the earth and he said these words:

“The beginning of wisdom is: Aquire wisdom; And with all your acquiring, get understanding.” – Proverbs 4:7

To grasp the Trump Presidency within the will and purpose of God requires understanding and we have a Holy Spirit that has been given to us for the very purpose of leading us into “all Truth”. The truth that He reveals to us may be in any number of arenas. He is not restricted to areas that we consider to be spiritual. George Washington Carver received truth related to the secrets held in the peanut. Werner Von Braun accessed the Spirit’s truth regarding space travel. The Spirit of Truth led Isaac Newton to become a giant in the field of Physics. There is no area of truth that He is confined to. It is wisdom to ask for understanding.

I began my journey as a “Never Trumper”. Out of the 17 or so candidates, Mr. Trump was very well near the bottom of the list. It was only as I sought earnestly for guidance that I was able to see God right in the middle of his candidacy and now his Presidency. Much of what I am about to show you I did not know until some time after the election but it serves to confirm what I already knew in my heart; there is something going on through Donald Trump that is well beyond what I could have imagined regarding God’s redemptive purpose for America. This does not excuse nor condone any of his personal failings or weaknesses. It merely shows God’s ability to work through anyone whom He wishes and should be an encouragement for you and I to continue to support him in prayer. God can easily change His heart when His time is right.

So where do we begin? I have linked to the following excerpt of one of his campaign speeches previously but I will do so again. Until you are able to grasp the truth in what he is saying here you will never be able to see the “big picture” of what God is accomplishing through him. This is why he has endured so many attacks on a continual basis. He is up against demonic entities and the Church will make this a victorious Presidency through intercession. I say without equivocation: God has a purpose through this Presidency to restore His purpose for our nation and to recover our Godly heritage.

Kim Clement was a true prophet of God. If you are one who struggles with the notion of God using “prophets” I would strongly encourage you to do some serious research on the subject. Ephesians 4:11 reads “And He gave some as apostles, and some as prophets, and some as evangelists, and some as pastors and teachers…” There are true and false prophets. If you want to hear a false prophet you need to do no more than turn on your TV news and you can hear them all day long. There are also true prophets and even the newest Christians can receive guidance from the Holy Spirit to recognize them. Kim was somewhat theatrical but don’t be dismissive of the personalities God uses. He initially prophesied of the Trump Presidency in 2007. As I listened to him I am almost certain he did not connect what God was saying with the person whom God was raising up. I’m going to dissect this a bit. There are many things that Kim said that are worth noting with commentary.

1. “I have found a man after my own heart” – Many would say this can’t possibly be referring to Donald Trump. God looks on our heart. He sees what no-one else sees. He is not fixated on externals! Having said that I have heard from numerous individuals who have met with Mr. Trump, and it is a common theme that they use words like “gracious” and “humble” to describe him. This is not accidental. This is the Trump not often seen in public but it is a true reflection of who he is in his heart of hearts. An extraordinarily insightful read on Mr. Trump and his family was written recently by Doug Wead called Inside the Trump Whitehouse. I would highly recommend it.
2. “I have called for a man and woman who would stand in the Oval Office and pray” – Few people know that Mr. Trump had an intercessory prayer team with him through the campaign that continues to this day. Seldom has anyone mentioned that he said that he wanted to be known as the most praying President in history. You will never hear in the media how Melania refused to move into the White House until the building was cleansed through believing prayer and I don’t know of a single previous President who has been so willing to receive the prayers and prophetic messages of those whom God has sent to meet with him.
3. Regarding the Supreme Court, “Two will step down.” This has not happened but you can count on it. I believe this is referring to a scandal that has yet to take place. Recently it was rumored, without substance, that Chief Justice Roberts had flown on Jeffrey Epstein’s “Lolita Express” a number of times. This would create the type of scandal I am referring to and expect to happen. I would not be surprised if Mr. Roberts is one who will be gone as his decision regarding the Individual Mandate in Obamacare was clearly unconstitutional. This is the type of decision that makes one ask questions like “Who is pulling his strings?”
4. Kim speaks of the “restoration of fortunes”. There may be much more to this than what I have seen but I am certain it is partially in reference to the fortunes of the US that have been lost through very poor trade deals as well as outright theft and Congressional irresponsibility by way of giveaways to foreign nations; many times returning generous amounts of tax payer money back into the pockets of our own corrupt politicians. Just this past week a Harvard University professor was arrested after being caught accepting substantial amounts of money (bribes) from the Chinese. This is a very deep rabbit hole. China has been stealing our technology for decades and Mr. Trump is addressing it now. While the media and certain politicians keep crying “Russia, Russia!” they are purposely turning our attention from their corrupt dealings with China. Pray for China and for the Church in China to rise up in the authority of Christ and defeat the deadly virus that is spreading across their land and also for freedom for the Chinese people to worship publicly without fear.
5. Trump and Netanyahu – It should be clear to anyone by now that God has forged a great bond of friendship between Mr. Trump and Mr. Netanyahu. This is obviously central to the purpose of God as it pertains to both nations. God continues to bless those who bless Israel. Mr. Netanyahu has referred to Mr. Trump as a modern day Cyrus. This is prophetic. You can read of him in Ezra 1:1, Isaiah 44:28 and Isaiah 45:1. Just like Cyrus the Great, Donald Trump has been anointed by God to fulfill His purpose as it relates to Israel and in relationship to the United States. I don’t know where this is going or for how long but there is no doubt that this will go down in history as one of the great alliances between our two national leaders.
6. U.S Politicians – This has been brewing for a long time and many have seen it coming. Kim said “embarrassing moments that are about to occur for many, many politicians” and it would shake the Democrats and unsettle the Republicans. Investigations into corruption at the highest levels of our government have been going on for many months and the veil is soon to be pulled back. The swamp IS going to be drained and the enormity will shock the senses of Americans. Rudy Giuliani has been established by the Father as a watchman. His investigations will spark a great move of righteousness and justice in our land.
7. “Impeach, Impeach!” – Remember that Kim saw this in 2014 before Mr. Trump was a candidate. Now we see it in hindsight and God has declared “It shall not be!”. We had a prophetic picture of this in this years Super Bowl. Kansas City was behind in every playoff game and well into the Super Bowl. Just when it looked like it was all over they came back to win every game. The same is true with Mr. Trump. Just when they think they have him cornered he comes back with a great victory. You can’t defeat the purposes of God. It is simply impossible no matter what the odds.
8. “A witch in the White House” – This, of course, was Hillary Clinton who is a modern day Jezebel. You can read about her in 1 Kings. There is an unusual correlation between King Ahab/Jezebel and Bill and Hillary Clinton. It’s not difficult to read the Scripture and see the similarities for yourself. The corruption that has plagued the White House for decades is about to come to an end.
9. Change in the media – Expect those media outlets who stubbornly refuse to acknowledge the truth to go bankrupt. Others will catch on and begin to return to journalism that has both honesty and integrity. That’s almost hard to believe!! CBS, the very station that parted with Sharyl Attkisson over her Benghazi revelations (she wanted the full story to be released and CBS refused) is the same media outlet that recently hired Katherine Herridge, who is clearly one of the finest investigative journalists available today.

Paul Cain prophesied years ago of the day when God’s Spirit is poured out on America and the stadiums are filled with worshippers and the newscasters would say “The only news we have is good news!” Many have prayed for a third Great Awakening in America; some for decades. Today we stand on the very cusp of a sweeping move of God across America that will take us back to our godly roots. Modern historians that have attempted to rewrite America’s history are soon to find out how wrong they were. This nation was founded as a Christian nation by the very first settlers who consecrated it unto the One and Only True God.

“The foundation of our Empire (America) was not laid in the gloomy age of ignorance and superstition, but at an epoch when the rights of mankind were better understood and more clearly defined, than any former period… (He goes on to speak of the various areas where these foundations are evident) and above all, the pure and benign light of Revelation [the Bible].” – George Washington

Donald Trump has a part to play but those who take up the Lord’s cause in intercession for our nation are the ones who will truly turn the tide in the USA!

The Dread Champions of God

Editor’s note: I’ve taken some months off writing. It wasn’t exactly planned but it happened anyway. Time to get back to the matter at hand and there is much catching up to do.

“But the Lord is with me like a dread champion; Therefore my persecutors will stumble and not prevail. They will be utterly ashamed, because they have failed, With an everlasting disgrace that will not be forgotten.” Jeremiah 20:11.

I first heard the words “dread champion” nearly thirty years ago at a Passion for Jesus Conference in Kansas City, MO. Having been somewhat out of the loop for a long time I only recently heard those words again. The timing couldn’t be more appropriate. God is soon to raise up many, who like David before them, will truly be the dread champions of God!

Let us take a step backward and look at a few things regarding champions. Here are some definitions regarding what a champion is: a warrior, a fighter, a champion for his king. One that does battle for another’s rights or honor. A militant advocate or defender. Dread can be defined as fearing greatly or be in extreme apprehension of. Let me propose a definition of a dread champion that should be suitable for the purpose at hand. A dread champion is a warrior who by divine purpose takes up any challenge assigned he or she on behalf of our King.

The mere fact that you are alive and reading this right now means that you were born for this hour! In our day many dread champions of God are going to be released on this earth to fight in His battles on many fronts.

Champions typically, but not exclusively, are revealed in a time of conflict or all out war. In WW1 there was Alvin York, commonly known as Sergeant York, a Medal of Honor recipient. If you’ve never seen or read his story I would encourage you to do so by viewing the movie “Sergeant York”. He was a man among men. A common man that was thrust into the fire of conflict and rose to the challenge. In WW2 there was Audie Murphy. Audie, at the age of 19 single-handedly held off an entire company of German soldiers for more than an hour and then lead a counter attack while wounded and out of ammunition. He received every military combat award for valor that there was. He later became an actor and played himself in the movie To Hell and Back.

Now that I have your interest in this aspect of contemporary history let’s look at what has transpired around the world since my last blog entry.

Protests for freedom and individual cultural identity have continued throughout the world. In Paris the gilets jaunes (yellow vests) have been protesting on weekends for over a year. It originally began as a protest against the price of fuel but the issues are broader. Unbridled immigration and bloated and obtrusive government are clearly factors. The French culture is threatened and the people want to be free to be what they are; French!

In Great Britain they are still trying to secede from the European Union via Brexit but it is being actively opposed by the minority by way of continual road blocks. London has become known as Londonistan and the majority of the British people do not want the EU to force them into accepting their policies. If the politicians who are opposing Brexit do not give in to the will of the people there will be a price to pay.

Other nations who are experiencing protests are Chile, Spain, Iraq, Haiti, Equador, Guinea, Libya, Egypt, Peru, Algeria, Lebanon, Germany, Netherlands, Indonesia, Iran, Yemen and Ajerbaijan.

Hong Kong has also seen months of protests. Recently the security forces of mainland China have been more aggressive in their response. The Chinese of Hong Kong have had a taste of freedom and they can’t go back. They have been generally very peaceful while tens of thousands have proclaimed things like “We Want Trump!” and singing the Star Spangled Banner while waving the American flag!

There is one grave danger in these protests in that there are always subversive forces who seek to use the protest movement to serve their own political movement and create governmental situations that are easily as bad or worse than those which currently exist. For this reason Christians should pray for these nations that God’s kingdom will come and His will would be done.

It has been noted by many that God uses cultural events to speak prophetically to those who have ears to hear what He is saying. Sports happens to be one of the avenues that He uses to convey messages. Some years ago the Prophet, Bob Jones, was going to Colorado and God spoke to him that he was going to see a white buffalo! Bob had no idea what that meant but when he got there he met Bill McCartney, then football coach of the Colorado Buffalo’s. At that time Bill was instrumental in the well known mens movement known as Promise Keepers.

While that movement was somewhat limited in scope God also speaks through worldwide events such as the World Series and the Super Bowl. Many will remember the 1989 World Series between the Anaheim Angels and the San Francisco Giants. It was game three when the 6.9 earthquake struck, killing more than 60 and injuring thousands, not to mention the massive damage done to infrastructure. Literally the eyes of the world saw this happen. I believe God was speaking of a world wide shaking that was coming and I think we are on the verge of this beginning. If I’m right it will unfold right before our eyes.

More recently the New England Patriots have dominated the NFL Super Bowls winning three out of the last five including the most recent. It is not by accident that President Trump has promoted a new era of patriotism, encouraging Americans to be proud of our nation. God is speaking that patriotism will win!

And finally, there is the most recent World Series between the Washington Nationals and the Houston Astros. Rick Joyner, of Morningstar Ministries, made note that this was the first World Series where the winner lost every home game for the first time in history. What made this notable is that when President Trump was announced to the audience at game 5 he was booed. This should be understood easily as much of the crowd was likely made up of DC bureaucrats to whom the President is an existential threat via smaller more efficient government. Rick also notes that Nationalism is going to win but it won’t win at home. It will win away from the nations capital where “We The People” will decide the future. Nationalism will win as the ordinary people rise up and do extraordinary acts in Jesus’ Name. Now if the New Orleans Saints win the Super Bowl we may find that God is saying something else through football.

“Righteousness and justice are the foundation of Your throne; lovingkindness and truth go before You.” Psalm 89:14. The Psalmist David saw that when God establishes His throne, or His rule, it is accompanied by righteousness, justice, lovingkindness and truth. These qualities will be evidential when God’s kingdom is established in any given environment, whether it be an individual home/family, a neighborhood, a city, state or nation. That does not suggest an overnight work but it does suggest that as He is enthroned in all that we do the previously mentioned qualities will become increasingly obvious.

Consider the possibilities in our own nation, the United States of America. What is the greatest moral evil we face here in our own homeland? It can be nothing else than the stain of bloodguilt brought on through abortion. Let me make this crystal clear: there is NO justification for terminating the lives of the unborn. David also wrote the following words in Psalm 139:13-17:

For You formed my inward parts;
You wove me in my mother’s womb.
 I will give thanks to You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
Wonderful are Your works,
And my soul knows it very well.
My frame was not hidden from You,
When I was made in secret,
And skillfully wrought in the depths of the earth;
Your eyes have seen my unformed substance;
And in Your book were all written
The days that were ordained for me,
When as yet there was not one of them.

How precious also are Your thoughts to me, O God!
How vast is the sum of them!

David was not merely referring to himself here in this passage. He is describing the unique nature of humanity. We are all born out of the divine romance of the Father’s love for every individual. We are the objects of His passion! We are far more than a blob of cells that was randomly thrown together. He has a hand in the creative process of every human being and His thoughts of each one of us are precious to Him! Humans have ultimate value to Him and their lives are sacred in His sight. We each have an eternal destiny which cannot, and must not, be diminished.

How much difference can one individual make out of many, many millions that comprise the human family? I offer you the Medal of Honor Citation of Ben L. Salomon as an example:

For conspicuous gallantry and intrepidity at the risk of his life above and beyond the call of duty:

Captain Ben L. Salomon was serving at Saipan, in the Marianas Islands on July 7, 1944, as the Surgeon for the 2nd Battalion, 105th Infantry Regiment, 27th Infantry Division. The Regiment’s 1st and 2d Battalions were attacked by an overwhelming force estimated between 3,000 and 5,000 Japanese soldiers. It was one of the largest attacks attempted in the Pacific Theater during World War II. Although both units fought furiously, the enemy soon penetrated the Battalions’ combined perimeter and inflicted overwhelming casualties. In the first minutes of the attack, approximately 30 wounded soldiers walked, crawled, or were carried into Captain Salomon’s aid station, and the small tent soon filled with wounded men. As the perimeter began to be overrun, it became increasingly difficult for Captain Salomon to work on the wounded. He then saw a Japanese soldier bayoneting one of the wounded soldiers lying near the tent. Firing from a squatting position, Captain Salomon quickly killed the enemy soldier. Then, as he turned his attention back to the wounded, two more Japanese soldiers appeared in the front entrance of the tent. As these enemy soldiers were killed, four more crawled under the tent walls. Rushing them, Captain Salomon kicked the knife out of the hand of one, shot another, and bayoneted a third. Captain Salomon butted the fourth enemy soldier in the stomach and a wounded comrade then shot and killed the enemy soldier. Realizing the gravity of the situation, Captain Salomon ordered the wounded to make their way as best they could back to the regimental aid station, while he attempted to hold off the enemy until they were clear. Captain Salomon then grabbed a rifle from one of the wounded and rushed out of the tent. After four men were killed while manning a machine gun, Captain Salomon took control of it. When his body was later found, 98 dead enemy soldiers were piled in front of his position. Captain Salomon’s extraordinary heroism and devotion to duty are in keeping with the highest traditions of military service and reflect great credit upon himself, his unit, and the United States Army.

Discerning the Signs of the Times, Part 2

But He (Jesus) replied to them, ‘”When it is evening, you say, ‘It will be fair weather, for the sky is red.’ And in the morning, ‘There will be a storm today, for the sky is red and threatening.’ Do you know how to discern the appearance of the sky, but cannot discern the signs of the times?” – Matthew 16:2-3

Those who are walking according to the Spirit should be adequate to see the works of God through the events taking place in our day. The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of truth Who has been given to lead us into all truth. We must trust Him to lead us into truth more than we do the enemy of our souls to lead us into deception. One of the keys to this is found in 2 Thessalonians 2:10,  “and with all the deception of wickedness for those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth so as to be saved”. Loving the truth is a commitment of the heart. We must love the truth more than we love ourselves, our own opinions or ideas. As disciples of Jesus Christ we are called to take up our cross daily and follow Him. The cross is first and foremost an instrument of death. If we are to follow Him we must allow the work of the cross to produce death in all that is in us that is not of Him. His ways really are much higher than ours and we must embrace all that He is.

There are world events that have been taking place, particularly among the nations, that speak to very obvious signs of our times. Allow me to list a number of them in an orderly array.

• The formation of the Freedom Caucus in the US House of Representatives. The Freedom Caucus was formed in January 26, 2015. As much as I can tell this was the first significant response to the open borders/globalist agenda that is a result of the Uniparty in Washington, DC. The Uniparty is comprised of the entire Democratic Party and most of the Republican Party. The Freedom Caucuses ideology is summed up in their name “Freedom”. It embraces Conservatism, Libertarian conservatism, Fiscal and Social Conservatism. Mark Meadows is the current chair of the caucus. The caucus may have had a role in recruiting Donald Trump to run for the Presidency. The key word here is “Freedom”.

• The nomination of Donald Trump as the Republican candidate for POTUS which was clinched in May of 2016 when he had enough votes to secure the nomination. This was historic. A complete political novice, an outsider who had never held public office or ran a campaign, upstaged numerous qualified candidates. I have posted this link before but I urge all to listen carefully to what he said. This is the very essence of why God has placed him in office. • Brexit. Brexit was the vote taken in Great Britain to remove itself from the European Union. This occurred on June 23, 2016. It also was a movement to free up Great Britain from globalism and to have more control of the future of the nations that comprise Great Britain. This has been a great and continuous conflict which has yet to be completed as the opposition from the world elites is fierce. Nonetheless, it is an action intended to free the British to be British again!

• North Korea. While negotiations have not yet yielded a final agreement there has been much progress here in bridging the gap between North and South Korea. Free exchange between the countries would inevitably open the door to the gospel in the north. The main highway and railroad have been reopened and guard shacks demolished. Much prayer is needed to see the North Korean people experience freedom.

• France. President Macron is a globalist and the majority of the citizens have been protesting him and his policies for months. Recently his approval rating has been hovering near the teens. Protests have had massive crowds and there is great pressure for change. The people have seen the French culture evaporate under the pressure of out of control immigration. The French want to be French! Protests have also spread to Belgium, Denmark and Sweden. This will continue until real change takes place.

• Brazil. Jair Bolsonaro was elected President and took office January 2019. He is considered a Trump like figure and is moving Brazil in a more conservative direction.

• Venezuela. Nicolas Maduro is the current President and a Socialist. He has literally destroyed the once thriving Venezuelan economy and people have been so desperate as to eat out of garbage trucks. It is a humanitarian nightmare. Numerous nations, including the US, are pressing for change and have recognized opposition leader Juan Guaido as President. The people want freedom!

• Canada. Prime Minister Justin Trudeau is caught up in what could be a massive scandal and it is uncertain whether or not his administration will survive. He is a globalist and there is mounting pressure from the populace to remove him.

• Italy. New Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte recently spearheaded a day for the people of Italy to celebrate being Italian. It was a huge success. He also was a political outsider and is moving Italy to more nationalistic policies.

• Iran. Last, but certainly not least are the Iranian people. They have suffered greatly under the rule of the Islamic Mullahs and are pressing for change. There was a nationwide strike among truckers that went on for months and today retired steel workers are protesting. The people are clamoring for freedom!

• Abortion in the US. Abortion is much more than a woman’s right to choose. There is a evil spiritual force that is released through the sacrifice of innocent blood and what can be more innocent than an unborn child? In 2 Kings 3 the Moabite king was facing annihilation by way of an onslaught from Israel. When it appeared he would lose the battle we read the following from 2 Kings 3:27 “then he took his oldest son who was to reign in his place and offered him for a burnt offering on the wall. And there came a great wrath against Israel. And they withdrew from him and returned to their own land.”  Something powerful was released when the king sacrificed his son; so powerful that it caused the army of Israel to walk away from certain victory. The practice of abortion is actually fueling malevolent spirits who are intent on the demise of our American culture. This is the primary, behind the scenes reason, that this is such a heated debate and there is such violent opposition against anyone who would dare to limit or eliminate the practice altogether. It is imperative that we, as a people, value the lives of the unborn and President Trump is leading the charge for life. (Ephesians 6:12)

• Israel and the United States. The bond between these two nations is critical to our futures. In Revelation 12:14 we read “the two wings of the great eagle were given to the woman, so that she could fly into the wilderness to her place…” I believe the great eagle represents the United States. Our government has traditionally functioned with a left and right wing. The woman represents Israel in this chapter and the eagle was given for her protection for a period of time. The United States has been the greatest place of refuge for the Jews in modern history. We don’t have time here to elaborate but the future of these two nations is bound together. It is no accident that there has been an almost continual attack to remove President Trump from office and the source of these attacks finds it home in hell. In the same way there have been recent attacks to remove Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu from office in Israel. These efforts will ultimately fail and we must remain vigilant in prayer in that regard. It is no accident that these are happening simultaneously.

• Worldwide Prayer Movement. in 1973 Osanri Prayer Mountain was established near Seoul, South Korea. They have held night and day prayer 24/7 for over 45 years! Currently there are more than 10,000 night and day prayer locations worldwide and the movement is expanding rapidly. This is an undeniable product of the Holy Spirit stirring peoples hearts in intercession for the next great move of God. No matter what happens in any other area, political, economic or military, without the transformation of hearts nothing of eternal significance will take place in world events. Massive prayer efforts are preparing the hearts of mankind for what God has in store.

If we have spiritual discernment we can see that there is a worldwide move toward freedom. Americans want to be Americans. The English want to be English. Iranians want to be Iranian. The Brazilians want to be Brazilians. The peoples of the world want to be free. They want to be free from oppressive political systems forcing them to embrace ideals that they do not cherish. God created the nations and in the new Jerusalem the nations will bring their glory into the city (Revelation 21:26).

If we look deeper we can see that God is paving the way for the peoples of the world to experience true freedom that can only be found through Jesus Christ. In 2 Corinthians 3:17 we read “Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty (freedom)”. True freedom is the freedom from being a slave to our sinful nature and the entrance into the glorious freedom of the sons of God (Romans 8:21).

God has a plan to launch a worldwide spiritual move freeing millions of people from the clutches of sin and death. This was what Jesus was speaking of in Matthew 13:39 when He said the harvest “was the end of the age”. It will come just as suddenly as the political changes have come.

If you came from a religious background like I did you are likely thinking something like “but what about the Antichrist and the global government over which he will rule”? That is a worthy question that deserves an answer. I believe the Scripture is clear and that day will come, but we should not assume that we can sit by passively and await that day thinking that we are headed in an unavoidable downward spiral without hope.

Recently I was reading a book that made reference to the following excerpt from J.R.R. Tolkien’s The Return of the King:

Hopelessly outnumbered, King Aragorn sought to inspire his men against what seemed like sure defeat against the swarming hordes of their hellish enemies. Riding in front of his gathered, but rather lowly army, he shouted, “I see in your eyes the same fear that would break the heart of me. A day may come when the courage of men fails, when we forsake our friends, and break all bonds of fellowship. But it is not this day. This day, we fight...by all you hold dear on this good Earth, I bid you to stand with me, men of the West!”

This is where we find ourselves today, contending for the souls of men and the heart of our nation. This day, we fight!!

NEXT: The Dread Champions!

Discerning The Signs of the Times, Part 1

Jesus often spoke in language using metaphors, agricultural terms and common themes of His day to relate truth. Here he uses the weather; who doesn’t talk about the weather? He uses the weather to illustrate to his hearers how easily they discern what it’s going to be like today or tomorrow but how oblivious they were to the signs of the times in which they lived. In the next couple of blog posts I’m going to attempt to address some of the signs of the times in which we live and that are affecting us today and will be influencing us in the days to come.

We begin today with three characters and a dream: President John F Kennedy, JFK, Jr. and Donald Trump and a dream of three attempted assassinations. There is a link between each of these people and events which I will endeavor to explain as we go along.

JFK, Sr. was a rather popular President with some very real flaws. Most, who know their history, would remember his famous quote “Ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country”. In the modern self serving era that is quite a foreign notion! Can you imagine any politician running for office on that platform?? He was one who inspired millions with the goal of putting a man on the moon and returning safely to earth; a goal later achieved under President Nixon. But President Kennedy made some formidable enemies who were most likely behind his assassination. Consider carefully this speech from April 7, 1961. You can see it or read the transcript that may be found here

Should you miss everything else he said please note carefully this paragraph in which he describes the very real enemy faced, not only by all Americans, but by all who would live free. “For we are opposed around the world by a monolithic and ruthless conspiracy that relies primarily on covert means for expanding its sphere of influence–on infiltration instead of invasion, on subversion instead of elections, on intimidation instead of free choice, on guerrillas by night instead of armies by day. It is a system which has conscripted vast human and material resources into the building of a tightly knit, highly efficient machine that combines military, diplomatic, intelligence, economic, scientific and political operations.”

At the time most people thought he was referring to the Soviet Union; he was not!

The there was JFK, Jr. The young man who seemed to have it all. He was born into wealth, young, talented and handsome and then cut down before he reached the prime of his life in an airplane incident. I remember it like it was yesterday. It was almost like the Prince of America had suddenly been taken out. And, yes, I believe it is very likely that he too was assassinated for political purposes. He had already confided to friends his interest in running for Senator representing New York and none other than Hillary Clinton needed that opportunity for herself. For those who excuse this as preposterous, given the circumstances surrounding his plane crash, may I say that virtually all political assassinations are framed to seem as though they were a natural event; human error, previous medical condition, etc. (Who killed Seth Rich? Who killed Jen Moore? Who killed Shawn Lucas?) The CIA, Russian KGB and others had become quite proficient at this. As you see in the accompanying photo at the head of this blog entry he was friends with none other than our current POTUS, Donald J. Trump. What a coincidence!

And then there is Mr. Trump himself, also a man with some very real moral flaws, as were exposed in the electoral process. Should you need a reminder that God uses people with moral failings you need only to look in the Scriptures at Moses, David and Peter to name a few. And yet, he has been prepared his whole life for this moment and has also inspired people, not only in this nation, but throughout the world for the hope of freedom. I urge you to listen to the clip, but please note the most significant portion where Mr. Trump says this: “The Washington establishment and financial and media corporations that fund it exist for only one reason, to protect and enrich itself. The establishment has trillions of dollars at stake in this election for those who control the levers of power in Washington and for the global special interests. They partner with these people that don’t have your good in mind. Our campaign represents a true existential threat like they have not seen before”.

I believe that Mr. Trump was actually addressing the very same power brokers that Mr. Kennedy addressed fifty-five years earlier. It was the targeting of these powerful people that inevitably ended JFK’s life, his sons life and would end Mr. Trump’s life if given the opportunity. I’ve heard them called by several names; the Illuminati, the Cabal or the New World Order and those elite individuals who have aligned themselves with them. Whatever you may call them, they exist, as Mr. Trump said “to protect and enrich” themselves. They are very wealthy and politically powerful families. They are king makers and king breakers and they have held myriad world leaders hostage to their evil machinations. They spread they influence through politicians and other people of influence throughout the world. These people are merely tools.

So how do you explain Mr. Trump’s victory in the face of very long odds against Mrs. Clinton? There is only one realistic possibility: Jesus. We understand from Paul’s writings in Ephesians 1:10 that the Father’s ultimate purpose consists of “the summing up of all things in Christ”. I believe that the Church of Jesus Christ, having been stirred up into intercession, brought about the election of President Trump and I also believe it is that same intercession that has and will continue to sustain him in his role in God’s plan. We can truly understand nothing unless we see Jesus in the middle of it. John wrote the book of Revelation where he gives an account of things that have taken place and those which are coming to bring this present age to an end. He called it the Revelation of Jesus Christ, because in all of these events we see an unfolding revelation of Who He is for those who are looking earnestly for Him. As the end of this age approaches we will see that it is all about Him. All things will be summed up in Him and we will only be able to understand the times, or even our own lives, as we look for His leadership in everything we see and all that we experience. He is the invisible hand who guides everything and everyone. Solomon put it this way in Proverbs: “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and do not lean to your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him and He will make your paths straight”.

Finally, a dream. In early December I had a prophetic dream detailing three assassination attempts on Mr. Trump. In my dream it appeared that they were happening in close sequence. In the first attempt Mr. Trump’s security detail gave him specific instructions, which he followed, and the plot was thwarted. The second scenario involved someone who was known to the President. I suspect it was not a person in his inner circle but an individual that had some close access to the President. It was not entirely clear but it appeared that Mr. Trump, himself, became aware of the danger in this person and was proactive in dealing with them appropriately to foil the attempt. In the third attempted assassination I did not see the details but knew instinctively that this was also unsuccessful.

There were several takeaways from this dream. (1) The President’s life is continually threatened, (2) It is only the prayers of the faithful intercessors that are keeping him alive, and (3) This was an encouragement to all who are faithfully supporting him in prayer to continue to do so. Ours is a critical component to the carrying out of God’s purpose in this presidency. I heard recently, but cannot confirm, that there have been twelve attempts on the life of Mr. Trump. I suspect he may have just escaped one this past week.

There is much taking place here and abroad that is the unfolding of a plan hatched in heaven; an expression of the heart of God. The signs are everywhere for those who have Godly discernment. If you are one of those, keep on doing to tasks that you have been given to do; fulfill your role. Everyone has a part to play. If you can’t see what is happening ask God for wisdom, as He is one “who gives to all generously and without reproach” and it will be given to you! We all have the great honor of partnering in intercession with He who “ever lives to make intercession for us” to bring about His kingdom and His will here on earth as it is in heaven. This is a great honor!

Please note! Donald Trump is not the solution to America’s problems. We must all pray for a great spiritual awakening that will shake this nation to its very core. Jesus Christ is the only solution! Donald Trump is simply a tool that God is using. I hope to make this perfectly clear in subsequent communications.

Where Are You?

“The Lord, the Lord God, compassionate and gracious, slow to anger, and abounding in lovingkindness and truth; who keeps His lovingkindness for thousands, who forgives iniquity, transgression and sin; yet He will by no means leave the guilty unpunished, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children and on the grandchildren to the third and fourth generations” – Exodus 34:6

We’ve been talking politics and Christianity for the past several blogs. While I have much to say, especially in the light of current activities, today will be a slight deviation. The problems of America and American culture are exclusively spiritual. While there is a political component to their solution it is the spiritual need that cries out for answers and the solution to these needs is solely found in Jesus Christ.

Generally speaking I try to maintain a positive attitude. It wasn’t always this way but I think the longer you walk with Jesus and the closer you come to Him the more difficult it is to be negative, knowing that He is in control of all things. The opening passage is the first thorough verbal revelation of Who God is that I find in Scripture and it clearly describes Him as a loving and compassionate Being. Having said that, there is a balance here. After detailing His kindness He goes on to say that “He will by no means leave the guilty unpunished”. There are, so to speak, two sides to the coin. The Apostle Paul put it in these words “Behold then the goodness and the severity of God”. It is wisdom to perceive all that He is, not simply that which we may initially gravitate to or find convenient for our purposes.

In the Garden of Eden, following the deliberate disobedience of Adam and Eve, God came to the garden and asked the question “Where are you”? It is also wisdom to ask ourselves that same question, both as individual believers and as the Church of Jesus Christ.

So, “Where are you?” and “Where am I?”. We must have an answer to the question. Where am I in relationship to the God Who is searching for me? God doesn’t ask questions because He is looking for answers. He already knows the answer. It is we who need to know the answer!

According to Revelation chapter three we, in these last days, comprise the church of Laodicea, the final church which will bring us to the end of this age. This is the lukewarm church to whom Jesus says “because you are lukewarm, and neither hot nor cold, I will spit you out of my mouth”. This is a solemn warning to those of us who consider ourselves to be followers of Jesus Christ. This is not a time to play church or play games.

One of the greatest enemies of true believers is compromise, a weakening of one’s principles or standards; the compromise of one’s morality. This is a plague in today’s church. One local pastor made a comment to this effect: “In five years the church will be where the world is today”. He’s not far from right, though I believe God has a plan to change that. One need only to observe how weak the Church has become in standing against the moral evils of our day and how many of those same evils are being practiced by professing believers.

Recently Legonier Ministries released “The State of Theology” 2018 version. You can read the entire version here.  The survey operates this way. They issue a statement and you respond “Disagree…Not Sure…Agree”. The first statement to Evangelical Christians was “Everyone sins a little, but most people are good by nature”. 53% agreed, 3% were unsure. Think about that one. That indicates that 56% of the Evangelical Christians who responded clearly do not understand one of the basic truths of the Bible. Jesus made a point of it when He said “There is none good but God”. Paul stated “There is none righteous, not even one.” David elaborates in the Psalms “All of us like sheep have gone astray, each of us has turned to his own way; and the Lord has laid upon Him the iniquity of us all”. 

It should be plain then to the most casual of observers that there are many in today’s churches who really do not understand the truth. I have heard it said that perhaps only 10% to 20% of those in the average church really are engaged with Jesus Christ in active conversation; of walking with Him and obedience to Him. This must change going forward.

I have mentioned previously that we are engaged in a cultural civil war; a battle of morality and ideals. We live in a world dominated by Humanism (Secularism) and Humanistic thought. Understanding the Times (Summit Ministries) defines Humanism as: “an atheistic and materialistic worldview that advocates for a public society free from the influence of religion”. In essence, it is an anti-Christ worldview and it is the prevalent worldview presented through entertainment, media, education, etc. In other words, we are surrounded and inundated by it daily.

Now if I asked any Christian if they held an anti-Christ worldview I expect they would resolutely say “NO”! Having said that, let me enumerate some areas where many Christians have wandered off the path of life and perhaps this can begin to help us answer the question “Where are you?”. As we list them you can ask yourself how they have been portrayed as normal and innocuous by our Secularist culture.

Before I do let me comment on God’s judgments; His discipline in the lives of His children. God is love. That is His essential nature. It is what He is! His judgments are an expression of His love because they are designed to reconcile us properly in relationship with Him. When He disciplines us, correcting areas of our life that are sinful, it is not primarily because He is angry with us but because He desires to restore us; to bring us back into agreement with Him and to renew our daily walk with Him! David said “the judgments of the Lord are true and righteous altogether. More to be desired are they than gold, yea, than much fine gold…” We, who live on this tiny speck of a planet, have been given the awesome opportunity to experience life with a Being that is responsible for creating all that is and this God desires to spend time with us and allow us to get to know and experience all that He is. This is our eternal destiny! There is no greater opportunity that will ever exist for us now or in eternity. Do you understand this? If, while reading these bullet points, your heart is pricked by His Spirit and you realize you are out of communion with Him you have been given a personal invitation to immediately reconcile your relationship by way of acknowledging your wrong doing and through repentance become fully restored as a son or daughter of the Father. King Solomon put it in these words “He who conceals His transgressions will not prosper, but he who confesses and forsakes them will find compassion (mercy)”.

• Abortion. The Scriptures are emphatic. Every human being has been made in the image of God and are known by God from conception. David wrote “You formed my inward parts; You wove me in my mother’s womb. I will give thanks to you for I am fearfully and wonderfully made”. There is absolutely no room for compromise here and those who call themselves by the name of Jesus must take a courageous stand against it.
• The LGBTQ agenda. Genesis 5:2 states “He created them male and female”. Romans 1 clearly indicates that homosexuality is a perversion; as is bi-sexuality, transexuality and every other distortion of the loving design from our Creator. God loves everyone of these people but as they persist in their evil lifestyle they incur His righteous judgment. These are not psychological problems but spiritual sins. Personal salvation through Jesus Christ is the only solution. Our sex was determined by our DNA and we cannot change what God has made us and designed us to be for His purposes.
• Sexual Immorality. God designed sex to be exclusive to the marriage covenant. There are no exceptions to this. Hebrews 13:4 states “Marriage is to be held in honor among all, and the marriage bed is to be undefiled; for fornicators and adulterers God will judge”. It makes no difference what society accepts or rejects. What does God place His approval on? Living together outside of the marriage bond, casual sex, open marriages, adultery, etc are disobedience to the commands of Jesus no matter what the world may think. “what is highly esteemed among men is detestable in the sight of God”.
• Greed. I list this because Jesus spoke these words “where your treasure, is there  your heart will be also”  At the end of this age there will be two groups of people: those who worship God and those who worship Satan and we can determine which group we are in largely by where we place our treasure. This cannot be overstated. The New Testament teaching on giving is clear. If you are unsure about this area I would encourage you to study it for yourself. What you give and where you give is between you and Jesus but that you give is not an option. Giving is an expression of the normal Christian life. As our Lord plainly stated “It is more blessed to give than to receive”. 

This was not meant to be an exhaustive list but enough to get us rethinking our positions as we live our lives in a godless culture. If you find that you are not where you should be in relationship to Jesus take heart! As He Himself said “take courage; I have overcome the world”. 

There is a promise to those who conquer compromise and lukewarmness given in Revelation 3:21 “He who overcomes, I will grant to him to sit down with Me on My throne, as I also overcame and sat down with My Father on His throne”. This is easily one of the greatest invitations you could possibly be offered. Today, let us find ourselves in close proximity to Him and join with one another as world overcomers!

The Panoramic View

There is a rather common idiom used in our culture that goes “you can’t see the forest for the trees”. The origins of this proverb date from the 16th century and has been in use continually since then. The essence of the message is that one has been preoccupied with a minor detail or details while oblivious to the greater picture. We may think of such a one as myopic. This can be seen in the spiritual realm when someone obsesses over the minutiae of daily living at the expense of seeing Divine activity providing guidance over the course of a lifetime, or those who become fixated on a specific stream of doctrine while ignoring the river of life into which each tributary flows and is consumed by.

In the opening Biblical passage from Isaiah God’s people, those who are seeking Him, are exhorted to look to Abraham and Sarah as an example to encourage them in their pursuit of the Lord. They are being challenged to see the big picture; to view themselves in the continuum of their spiritual history. In the US for the past perhaps sixty years there has been an inexorable flow in our so-called institutions of higher learning and secular media to rewrite history. In particular, suggesting that our founding fathers were just a bunch of Deists. That has continued to the present where there is the misconception among many that the Constitution teaches freedom from religion as opposed to freedom of religion. It is not accidental that George Washington is called the father of our nation and it is a wise endeavor to consider some of his noteworthy comments concerning God and Christianity, which we will touch on shortly as a portion of the big picture, the panorama of American spiritual history.

We are living in a time of great cultural conflict; a war of values. Recently, Marc Nuttle wrote this in his newsletter The Nuttle Report, “In conflicts of cultural ideology, it is imperative to consider the value of the past, applied to the present, and projected into the future”. In a time of great need, as the one in which we live we must see, not only the present, but the past and the impact of our early history on today and tomorrow. One needed only to pay casual attention to the attempted character assassination of Justice Kavanaugh to see the intensity of emotion involved in an effort to destroy an honorable man for purely political and self-serving purpose. How did we get here? And what must we do to return to national civility. I suggest that we may begin this journey by looking back into the history of our Founding Father, George Washington.

Recently, researchers at Harvard University discovered this: “One gram of DNA can store 700 terabytes of data. That’s 14,000 50-gigabyte Blu-ray discs… in a droplet of DNA that would fit on the tip of your pinky. To store the same kind of data on hard drives — the densest storage medium in use today — you’d need 233 3TB drives, weighing a total of 151 kilos.” Try wrapping your brain around that, and consider that the God who created DNA has infused every human being who will ever live or has lived with a body full of DNA!! I believe there is such a thing as “spiritual DNA” as well and this is why Isaiah called the people to return to the example of their forbears Abraham and Sarah. As the father of our nation, George Washington carried the spiritual DNA for America. The quality of his life and his steadfast belief that America had been established because of the favor of the Christian God is really a call for all Americans to reorient their own life after his example. Listen to a few of His words:

“It is the duty of all nations to acknowledge the providence of Almighty God, to obey His will, to be grateful for His benefits, and humbly to implore His protection and favor.”

“Of all the dispositions and habits which lead to political prosperity, religion and morality are indispensable.”

“Oh, eternal and everlasting God, direct my thoughts, words and work. Wash away my sins in the immaculate blood of the Lamb and purge my heart by Thy Holy Spirit. Daily, frame me more and more in the likeness of Thy son, Jesus Christ, that living in Thy fear, and dying in Thy favor, I may in thy appointed time obtain the resurrection of the justified unto eternal life. Bless, O Lord, the whole race of mankind and let the world be filled with the knowledge of Thee and Thy son, Jesus Christ.”

“By the miraculous care of Providence, that protected me beyond all human expectation, I had four bullets through my coat and two horses shot under me, and yet escaped unhurt.”

These are the writings of someone who knew God experientially and acknowledged the role of the Sovereign Creator in his life and that of his nation. Our biological DNA determines everything we are in our physical bodies and so our spiritual DNA provides us with an example to follow if we are to continue, as a nation, on the path of life. The first of those is that we respond to the call to return to our spiritual heritage; our faith in God.

The American Revolution spanned the years between 1774-83. It was neither a quick nor easy struggle for independence from England. There is one unique quality that sets apart the Revolutionary War from every other revolution in the history of nations; it was initiated by the wealthy. Let that fact sink in for a moment. The men who led the fight for independence were the educated, the upper class and the wealthy. George Washington (inflation factored), at his death, was considered to be one of the 50 most affluent people in American history. Does that sound familiar? Donald Trump is the wealthiest President in our nations history. And once again it is time for a new American revolution.  Contemplate these words from the Declaration of Independence:

“We therefore, the Representatives of the United States of America, in General Congress, Assembled, appealing to the Supreme Judge of the world for the rectitude of our intentions, do, in the Name, and by Authority of the good people of these Colonies, solemnly publish and declare, That these United Colonies are, and of Right ought to be, Free and Independent States; …

And for the support of this Declaration, with a firm reliance on the protection of divine Providence, we mutually pledge to each other our Lives, our Fortunes and our sacred Honor.” 

These men knew that there would likely be a great price to pay for what they were about to become engaged in and a number of them suffered personal loss as a result.

Andrew Breitbart made a salient observation on our national state of being some years ago when he said “Politics is downstream of culture”. In other words, culture determines our political state, not vice versa. In his blog “An American Manifesto” Christopher Chantrill expanded on Andrew’s statement by saying “Culture is downstream of religion”. I would amend those two and say “Politics is downstream of culture and culture is downstream of Biblical Christianity”. By saying “Biblical Christianity” I am eliminating all who go by the name “Christian” who do not adhere clearly to the Word of God. In essence, our popular culture is a result of the failure of the Church of Jesus Christ to be the salt and light we have been called to be. If we would point fingers regarding the evil state of politics we must start the finger pointing at ourselves!

One need only observe the fiasco surrounding the confirmation process of Justice Kananaugh to realize that our modern politics is an unmitigated disaster.  Our current condition, in large part, is such due to the fact that our culture has lost it’s moorings and those moorings can only be restored by a national repentance and return to our spiritual roots; following in the example of our Founding Father.

In our nations history we have had two Presidents that I believe stand head and shoulders above them all; George Washington and Abraham Lincoln. One laid the foundation for the nation and the other preserved it, both in times of great trial. Both served in times of war that would determine the destiny of our nation and both were devout believers in a personal God; the God who created all things and is intimately involved in the affairs of men. We have also experienced in our history two great spiritual awakenings; the First Great Awakening (1730’s and 1740’s) and the Second Great Awakening (1830’s and 1840’s), both of which laid the spiritual foundation for the great freedom movements that would follow; our nations founding and freedom from slavery.

I would be remiss if I didn’t mention another of our nations spiritual fathers, Jonathan Edwards, the great Puritan minister of Jesus Christ. Jonathan was perhaps the most notable of those who were at the forefront of the First Great Awakening in America. He left a great legacy of faith and in some way we who live in the United States are his spiritual children. He and his wife had eleven children. Among them were Pierpont Edwards who was a delegate to the Continental Congress and helped in the framing of the Constitution and Jonathan Jr. who had personal communications with President George Washington. It is likely that the President was directly impacted by the ministry of Jonathan Edwards through his sons. Hear in Jonathan Edwards own words his faith in the God whom he loved:

“God created man for nothing else than happiness. He created him only that He might communicate happiness to him”

“As I read the words (1 Timothy 1:17) there came into my soul, and was as if it were diffused thro’ it, a sense of the glory of the Divine Being; a new sense, quite different from anything I ever experienced before. Never any words of Scripture seemed to me as these words did. I thought with myself, how excellent a being that was; and how happy I should be, if I might enjoy that God in Heaven, and be as it were swallowed up in Him”

As has been previously noted the righteous seed of previous generations, those upon whom this nation was founded, is going to be harvested. We, in our generation, have the privilege of standing on the shoulders of spiritual giants whereby we can see deeper into the heart of God’s purpose for America and participate in a spiritual revolution in our own day.

Today, America stands at another great crossroads. As noted in an earlier blog  entry, we are already involved in the throes of another civil war; a great dispute of values. In the American Civil War our nation was nearly divided in order to restore what had been ignored or excused in the Declaration of Independence through the words “We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.” All men meant ALL, regardless of race. We must all be free! In the great ideological conflict of today “all” must include the most vulnerable and defenseless among us; the unborn, the aged and those victimized by child sex crimes and human trafficking. And while the ramifications of such freedom will extend far beyond one segment of society we must resolve that we will all play our part in the restoration of America and the American ideal of freedom.

There is a spiritual requirement of everyone who would call themselves by the Name of Christ to follow the mandate from God and recorded in the words of Solomon the king:

“(If) My people who are called by My name humble themselves and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, will forgive their sin and will heal their land.”  2 Chronicles 7:14

We have a collective responsibility to intercede on behalf of our nation for a Third Great Spiritual Awakening, one that will shake the nation and restore the spiritual and moral foundations upon which our nation was founded. It is truly the only hope for America. Let the words of Abraham Lincoln guide us in our prayers:

“We have been the recipients of the choicest bounties of Heaven. We have been preserved these many years in peace and prosperity. We have grown in numbers, wealth and power as no other nation has ever grown.

But we have forgotten God. We have forgotten the gracious Hand which preserved us in peace, and multiplied and enriched and strengthened us; and we have vainly imagined, in the deceitfulness of our hearts, that all these blessings were produced by some superior wisdom and virtue of our own.

Intoxicated with unbroken success, we have become too self-sufficient to feel the necessity of redeeming and preserving grace, too proud to pray to the God that made us!

It behooves us then to humble ourselves before the offended Power, to confess our national sins and to pray for clemency and forgiveness.”

War In Heaven

“And there was war in heaven, Michael and his angels waging war with the dragon. The dragon and his angels waged war…” Revelation 12:7

We are living in a period of time that Jesus referred to as the end of the age in Matthew 13:39 where He stated “the harvest is the end of the age”. Previously in verse 30 He indicated that the “tares” were to be left to grow with the wheat until harvest. The tares He spoke of likely referred to a species of rye grass that produced a sleep inducing poison. They look so similar to wheat that only in the latest stage of development can they be separated effectively. So it is today in the world in which we live. There are many who look outwardly, in speech and actions, as though they are sons of the kingdom but, in reality, they are no such thing. “Man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks on the heart”. There is a great conflict at hand between those who are allied with God’s purpose and those who oppose it and only the Lord God knows those who are His. Satan knows his time is short (Rev. 12:12) and we may expect all of his fury to be unleashed in these last days.

The Scriptures make is clear that we are involved in a cosmic warfare that is waged with spiritual weapons against Satanic forces (Ephesians 6:12). If you have never read This Present Darkness by Frank Peretti I would encourage you to do so as he puts the battle in a real life like captivating novel. We should expect this to intensify as we move closer and closer to the culmination of this age. Even now the signs seem rather clear as the light is shining brighter and darkness is waging war with ever increasing ferocity.

While this war may be heavenly it is being waged right here in our presence and ultimately it is the intercessors, who are praying in agreement with the Father, who will prevail. While Jesus made it clear that His kingdom was not of earthly origin (John 18:36) we have ample precedent in the Old Testament for political involvement. Joseph, Daniel and Nehemiah were all government officials. All were godly men carrying out not only the will of those whom they served in government but also the Father’s will! We should not find it strange then for men and women in the current age to be set apart to serve in human government in various roles to achieve God’s purpose; in fact, it should be expected of many.

In one of my previous blog entries I ended with the words “I love Donald John Trump”! There is a reason for that that transcends any personal interest that I have in him. I pray for him routinely and intercede with my Father on his behalf and when you pray for people you begin to love them the way God loves them. Some of the frustration I hear from people regarding the President is that they are offended by things that he says. One of the things that helped me early on was to gain a better understanding of him apart from the media portrayal. Actually, there was a great disparity from what I heard via the media and those whom I knew had met with him personally. The ones that I knew who actually sat down with him in private conversation were entirely consistent in their appraisals of him. Words like “humble”, “congenial” “attentive” and “gracious”. Here is a suggestion that may help you see him differently than you may now see him. Ask the Holy Spirit how He sees Donald Trump and keep asking until you get an answer. I assure you there will be a new perception awaiting you. Mr. Trump is a departure from every previous President and much of what he does actually makes perfect sense to those who understand how he operates. I read a transcript from a Newt Gingrich speech entitled Understanding Trumpism that was incredibly insightful. He has a five part video series you can see here on Youtube. It’s worth the watch even if you can only take in a part of it.

The past ten days or so have been quite illuminating. In addition to the seemingly never ending investigation into collusion with the Russians and the usual attacks from the media there was a truck that drove into a FOX news location, a switchblade attack on a Congressional candidate and a mass shooting threat on a DC Trump meet up. The enemy of our souls is stirred up and we must be stirred in our hearts to intercede for our President and our Nation. We had an anonymous source who identifies as a high level White House staffer posting an opinion piece in the New York Times indicating that there are people like the anonymous writer who are involved in a seditious plan against the President. Then you have Bob Woodward’s book released which is full of more anonymous sources undermining Mr. Trump, and  Omorosa Manigault released another tape of confidential conversations involving the President, Maxine Waters encouraging others to threaten Trump Supporters, Joe Scarborough of MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” saying that Mr. Trump presents a far greater threat to America than the 911 terrorists and John Kerry continuing to insert himself illegally through negotiations with Iran. Then we have the Washington Post suggesting that Mr. Trump bears some responsibility for Hurricane Florence. You can’t make this up people!! Finally, not to miss an opportunity to pat himself on the back, Mr. Obama gave a speech where, parting with decades of tradition of former Presidents not attacking current ones, he went after Mr. Trump on several issues. Two phrases from his speech have stayed with me… “You cannot sit back and wait for a savior” and “You don’t need a Messiah”. Think about those words “savior” and “Messiah”. Odd that they should crop up in his speech, isn’t it?

Actually, it is an appropriate allusion to Psalm 2:1-4 which reads:

Why are the nations in an uproar
And the peoples devising a vain thing?

      The kings of the earth take their stand
And the rulers take counsel together
Against the LORD and against His Anointed, saying,

      “Let us tear their fetters apart
And cast away their cords from us!”

      He who sits in the heavens laughs,
The Lord scoffs at them.

While David was speaking regarding God’s King, Savior and Messiah Jesus Christ it is clear to me that these onslaughts against Donald Trump are primarily oriented, directly, toward God, who has installed His man as President and is executing His plan for America through him. There is more going on than people merely attacking the President. Don’t be surprised if those who are disparaging him have skeletons in their closets that they are working in a panic to protect. Mr. Obama knows that if the Republicans maintain control of Congress and the investigations proceed as they have been that he is in deep doo doo. He knows everything; all of the corrupt actions of his Presidency are going to be laid bare. You may be assured that they will be!!

In Jewish thought there are three heavens: the immediate atmosphere that we live in and breathe, the second heaven consists of the upper atmosphere where demonic activity exerts it’s force on earth and the third heaven where God rules over all and His will is done without question. There is a war going on in the heavens. Satan is pulling out all the stops to prevent God’s purpose for America from being fulfilled. His minions are at work carrying out his will to disrupt and undermine God’s people and purpose. There are many who have taken up the challenge to intercede for this President. I’d like to share some Scriptures that I pray over him and would encourage you to do the same. Psalm 144, a prayer for deliverance and  prosperity. Isaiah 11:2, that the Father will release the seven fold Spirit of the Lord to minister to him always. Ezra 6:10, for his health and safety. Psalm 89:14, that his administration would be marked by righteousness and justice. Jeremiah 29:7, that his terms would be marked by peace and prosperity. And finally, Proverbs 21:1, that God’s will would be done through the President. I encourage you to add to these other prayers from the Word on your own.

Prior to the election Mr. Trump hosted a luncheon for Christian leaders. During the discussion time one of them, Jorge Parrot, began addressing him in a very matter of fact tone and said something like this: “After the election, when you have become the President of the United States, you’re going to have an opportunity to enter into an agreement with Israel and you’re going to do it! As a result of this decision God is going to bless Israel and He is going to bless the United States.” It was obvious to me that Mr. Parrot was prophesying to Mr. Trump. He did become President and he did come through and move the embassy to Jerusalem and the beginning of the blessings has followed. Obeying God is wisdom and I thank Him for Mr. Trump’s obedience. We have only begun to see the significance of this decision.

During the Civil War, Union General McClellan did as much as possible to undermine President Lincoln by refusing to follow directives and avoiding combat with General Lee in spite of a substantial numerical advantage in troops. He was eventually relieved of command and ran as a Democrat against Lincoln in 1864. He was one that was infatuated with his own ego, much like those who comprise the membership of the soft coup against Donald Trump today. The irony is that Mr. Lincoln, who has gone into the history books as one of our greatest Presidents, was mocked by the journalists outside of his home state of Illinois whose tactics he thought of as personal ridicule. They made fun of his Kentucky-Hoosier twang and his pronuncuation of certain words. These same tactics are employed by most of today’s media and they have used virtually every tool at their disposal to upend the Trump Presidency. It will not work!  If you are one of those who are still struggling with the Russian collusion hoax I would direct you to watch a brief video detailing the real story of how it all happened here.

Mark Taylor tweeted this Friday morning: “The leaders that are opposing Judge Kavanaugh has nothing to do with Roe vs Wade. It has everything to do with Military Tribunals, being charged with Treason, executed, or sent to G#tmo for the rest of their life.” 

There is much more hidden in that statement than we have time to address. But consider this: Human trafficking arrests (which are dominated by sex crimes against children) have soared since Trump took office.

Now ask yourself why the media isn’t all over this?? We’ve heard a few stories involving NXIVM but it is much, much bigger than that. When the Holy Spirit shines his light in dark places we should not be surprised at who gets illuminated in the process, nor should we amazed at who has been complicit in covering those crimes up. It’s like Mr. Trump said recently regarding pedophiles, “We’re either throwing them the hell in jail or getting them out of the country”. 

There is a war going on in the heavens and you and I have the privilege of partnering with the Father in prayer and seeing the Union (those who are “in union” with Him) prevail. Being in union with Him in His plan and purpose is what it’s all about.

Being in Agreement

In my quest to determine whether or not I could support Mr. Trump as President it was never about “being right”, but rather being in agreement with the Father. I offer a couple of illustrations; one from history and the other from Scripture. At the beginning of the Civil War Mr. Lincoln was asked by a journalist if he believed that God was on the side of the Union. The President wisely replied “Sir, my concern is not whether God is on our side; my greatest concern is to be on God’s side, for God is always right.” In Joshua 5 Joshua was confronted by a man standing in front of him with a drawn sword. Joshua asked him “Are you for us or for our enemies?” to which the man replied “Neither, but as Commander of the army of the Lord I have come”. Let that answer sink in… “Neither”! Joshua was one of the good guys, he was a representative of God’s people Israel and yet the angel make it clear that it isn’t about the side we are on, it’s about being on the Lord’s side. That’s really all that matters; are we in agreement with Him? The kingdom is not about me, and it’s not about you. The kingdom is all about the King, Jesus Christ, and we are privileged to partner in prayer to bring His kingdom to come and His will to be done. It’s not about being right about something; it’s about being in agreement with Someone. If you are in agreement with Him you are on the right team.

Donald Trump is an imperfect human being, but God specializes in using imperfection. The Bible is full of such people who were greatly used by Him. There are few better examples than that of Nebuchadnezzar in the book of Daniel. I am certain he was no different than any other despotic king. And yet God used him and the record is there for each of us to learn from. Having said that, Mr. Trump’s questionable character was something I had to deal with and it really came down to the truth illustrated by Jesus Christ in Luke 18 where He tells the story of two men who went up to pray in the Temple; one a religious man and the other a tax collector. The religious man began by telling God what a good man he was while the tax collector stood afar off and being unable to raise his head said “God, be merciful to me, the sinner!”

In every way the Sword of God’s Word pierced my own heart. I was the religious man, thinking myself better than Donald Trump, when in reality on my best day and his worst I am no better than he. That acknowledgement of my own pride and self-righteousness made it much easier for me to see the obvious purpose of God working through the now President Donald Trump. Being humbled regarding ones opinions is a good thing. Psalm 25:9 assures us that “He leads the humble in justice, and He teaches the humble His way”. Of course, it is preferable that we humble ourselves and acknowledge His way as far superior than our own and we can be assured, as we read in Daniel “He is able to humble those who walk in pride” Daniel 4:37. Asking Him for a humble heart is wisdom.

Mr. Trump already had two things going for him that were unique in the field of candidates: he was a political novice, an outsider and he was a highly successful businessman. For a nation that has been run into near financial ruin by men-pleasing politicians those were substantive qualities that could not be easily overlooked and his position of not being beholden to the political powers will be key to the future God has for America.

There has been one matter related to Mr. Trump’s past that puzzles me in regards to my believing friends who oppose him. Since when do we believers not embrace the concepts of redemption, restoration and usefulness for God’s purpose? No one is beyond the reach of God’s grace!! I actually had a dear brother that I have known since we were in our early teens tell me I was following Trumpianity instead of Christianity. My dear friends, it is my deep root of abiding in Christ that enables me to see His hand resting on this President. Am I thankful for the increase in prosperity and the encouraging economics and job related numbers? Yes, I am, and particularly so for the urban black American community, many of whom have languished under liberal policies. God has a purpose to accomplish through black America and the restoration of dignity through meaningful work is a part of that plan. May I suggest to you that Mr. Trump is the first fruit of what is to come. We need to be prepared for some of the most vile and evil people who are going to be transformed by the power of the resurrected Savior and we must be ready to receive them as the brothers and sisters that they will be.

Donal Trump is often criticized for lashing out at his adversaries but I was prepared for that. My dear brother Rick Joyner said long before the election that God spoke this to him “I’m not going to tell you who will be President, but I will tell you what you need; an alley fighter, someone who can fight on many fronts at one time”. He is every bit that man! While that may offend some I can tell you with all confidence that when the staggering level of government corruption is exposed you will know of a certainly why God had prepared him his whole life for such a time as this. There is not a single one of the candidates who were equipped to deal with what Mr. Trump is dealing with, and it will get much worse as we proceed into the future. Back to that in a moment. The sheer volume of daily attacks on this man, his family, his Vice President and his cabinet members alone should tell you he is doing something right! There is no President that has been a better friend of the unborn and of Israel, and certainly none who have had the courage to make the righteous decisions that he has made regarding them.

It was after he was elected that I found a couple of other interesting things regarding his election. I had been praying but I was unaware of a nation wide intercessory prayer chain that had been going on through the entire election cycle and still continues to this day. I also happened onto a book that I found quite enlightening. There seemed to be quite a few books out regarding a Trump Presidency from the evangelical world but one caught my eye and I picked it up and read it. The Trump Prophesies by Mark Taylor and Mary Colbert is really a fascinating look behind the scenes at the manner in which God put everything together to put Trump into office and some of the purposes that He has in mind for placing him there. The personal stories of these two servants, how they were prepared for this hour and how God brought them together alone is worth the read. Finally, I had never heard, in my memory, anything from Kim Clement but I stumbled on him this morning via Youtube. He’s probably a bit theatrical for some but on February 22, 2014 he prophesied these words: “They will shout ‘Impeach! Impeach!’ but this will not happen”. Kim went to meet his Savior in November of 2016 shortly after the election. Well, they have been shouting “Impeach” since day one.

It has been some years ago that I ceased watching television news media. It has clearly been a benefit in pursuing the truth. I understand that people are concerned about having a free press, but we haven’t had a free press for some time. We have multi billion dollar politically active indoctrination factories. They publish what they want you to believe. At this time it is largely based on deception with a little truth served on the side. The greatest deceptions mix enough of the truth with the lies to fool you. Even the liberal Alan Dershowitz, who voted for Hillary, said “I think today what has happened is that news reporting has become part of the adversary system.” Note his use of the word “adversary”. Do we know who the adversary is? The original Hebrew term “satan” means “accuser” or “adversary”. Let me ask you a question: why would you go to an atheistic, secular, humanistic, rationalist to give you the truth about what God is doing in regards to human government? Why would you look to those who attack godly values on a daily basis and assume that would be be the ones who purvey truth? I suggest an alternative: rather than listen to the talking heads, tune in to THE HEAD, the Spirit of truth and let Him lead us into that which is true. Truth is a Person and if we are being led by His Spirit we certainly should be able to find the truth that is in Him. Several studies have shown that media coverage of the President are over 90% negative. Do you really believe they are offering an honest and fair evaluation of him? I don’t think so. Personally, at this time, I consider them to be Satan’s media; the station that plays his music to the masses much like the Pied Piper leading their followers on the highway to hell. I fully expect that this will change in the future. Those who are acting in concert as willing tools of the opposition will be exposed.

In regards to government corruption, Washington, DC is nearly totally bankrupt of moral value and this has been going on for a long time, but it has increased exponentially in recent years. Please note that this is beyond partisan politics; it is the Uniparty that is the enemy of “We The People”. Government has become to tool to control people, not to serve them, and I doubt that any government agency is free of the moral filth. Before Andy McCabe was fired from his position as Deputy Director of the FBI he gathered his top advisors together and stated “F*** Flynn and then we F*** Trump”. Keep in mind that the stated mission of the FBI is “The mission of the FBI is to protect the American people and uphold the Constitution of the United States.” It should be clear to anyone reading this that the mission has been grossly perverted. But why General Flynn? It’s simple: As National Security Advisor to President Trump Michael Flynn was the first one to recognize that the FBI investigation into Hillary Clinton’s illegal email use was a fraud. He had to be taken out first, and that is precisely what was done. But it’s not over!!

You may ask “But didn’t he lie when questioned by FBI agents”? No, he didn’t. He was interviewed by Peter Strzok and Joe Pientka. We know Strzok has been fired from the FBI and his credibility is shot. In testimony before Senator Grassley Mr. Pientka indicated that in the briefing by Director Comey he said that the agents “saw nothing that led them to believe [he (Flynn) was] lying.” If that is the case why did General Flynn plead guilty to lying to the FBI? Because, according to family members, he has sustained legal fees well into the seven figures defending himself on top of having to sell his home. The final straw was when Robert Mueller (who was formerly identified as a Republican) threatened to go after his son and General Flynn decided enough was enough. He had to protect his family. This is a story about Robert Mueller that has been repeated in other cases; put any amount of pressure you can on someone, regardless of their innocence, until you can force them into admitting guilt. This and similar stories will come to the light in the near future. Mr. Mueller, who has virtually unlimited resources in the current case, has run roughshod over many people in his career and it is about to come back on him with a vengeance. When a corruptocrat has the weight of government pressure to drive someone into bankruptcy and threaten to do the same those whom they love it is time to clean house and that time is now.

For those of us who go by the Name of Christ it is a time of sober vigilance and intercession, “For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God…” 

 

How It All Began

I signed off last time with the words “I love Donald John Trump!” But I digress…it didn’t start out that way at all. There were initially seventeen candidates for the 2016 Republican Presidential nomination. In my mind Donald Trump was right there at the bottom of the list, with a few others not worthy of mention. I did not want Donald Trump as an option! I was in the camp of the never Trumpers.

Let me explain a bit. I am a conservative and I believe conservatism to be the most prudent political option. Georges Clemenceau once said: “Not to be a republican (liberal) at twenty is proof of want of heart; to be one at thirty is proof of want of head”. Conservatives tend to take change at a much slower pace than their liberal counterparts. I believe this is wisdom. I do not believe that either party is the solution to our problems but I do believe there is a political component to such a solution. I am a registered Independent leaning Libertarian somewhat like Senator Rand Paul. It takes both a left and a right wing for the great eagle to maintain flight. We nearly lost the right wing and now the left wing has been decimated.

In America, there has been a steady march to the left for the past 50-60 years. You need only look to our University campuses to see the detriments of this movement. I listened to a speech from Democrat Hubert Humphrey’s 1968 Presidential campaign. By today’s standard he would have been a right wing extremist. Things have certainly changed, and as typically is the case we are now on the edge of a pendulum swing to the right. In my opinion this is long overdue as the Republic is in danger.

So after the attrition of the candidates I found myself looking hard at the options: Ted Cruz and Donald Trump. At this point I began to seriously search the heart of God as to whom I should support. I was firmly in the Cruz camp but as always in pursuit of truth. This is my story.

I honestly don’t remember the first indication I had of Mr. Trump being the right person for the job of POTUS, but I do distinctly recall on of the early indicators. It was around 1990 at a “Passion for Jesus” conference in Kansas City that I first met the Prophet John Paul Jackson. He was truly a fine man of God and just a regular guy without pretense. I lost contact with him and was not a follower of his ministry and really didn’t hear much from him until after his death, but in my search for truth I literally stumbled on a video excerpt from a television series he was involved in. Remember, this took place in 2012, long before Mr. Trump even became a legitimate candidate for the Presidency. There are a couple of things worthy of noting: It was a “bulldozer”. If you do an internet search on “Trump is a bulldozer” you can find numerous journalists and politicians who have called him as such. Here a a few: Ted Malloch “Trump drives a bulldozer through the UK”, Jim Vanehei/Mike Allen “The Trump Bulldozer”, John Fund “Trump the Bulldozer” and Moshe Feiglin “bulldozer without a driver”. Also in the dream the bulldozer went through the White House like a stack of cards. He is the Trump card.

You have to understand that, for me, this was a process that took place over a period of months and involved a good deal of soul searching. I don’t typically follow people whom I regard to be Prophets, but I don’t ignore them either. I will say without question that there are several who have greatly impacted my life over the course of many years. I do have an acquaintance that has much more contact with the prophetic community that I do who mentioned during the campaign process that “every Prophet I know says Donald Trump is going to win the election”. It seems foolish to me that one would ignore the words of Amos 3:7 “Surely the Lord God does nothing unless He reveals His secret counsel to His servants the prophets”.

I was not yet ready to board the Trump Train  but it was about this time the a sword (The Sword) pierced my own heart. To be continued.
